Local Sports Mar 21, 2023 Compiled by Dottie Bird LINCOLN SPEEDWAY — Rico Abreu made a powerful opening statement for his 2023 sprint-car season. The PA Posse vs. The Outlaws ended with an outsider taking the $10,000 payday at the Lincoln Speedway. The 2023 World of Outlaws Sprint Car season debut, Abreu topped a thriller on Saturday night in the Low-E Insulation Spring Showdown finale. The California native out-dueled four-time and defending series champion, Brad Sweet, in the 35-lap feature.
